Clinically supervised TRT for men with confirmed low testosterone — evaluated with comprehensive lab work, treated with a protocol built around your results, and monitored over time at our Summerlin clinic. In-person care, not a telehealth script.
Testosterone levels begin declining around age 30. For some men, that decline becomes clinically significant — a measurable shift that affects energy, body composition, mental clarity, mood, and sexual function. When levels are lab-confirmed low and treatment is appropriate, the goal of TRT is to restore testosterone to a healthy physiologic range, not push beyond it.
Low testosterone contributes to chronic fatigue, low motivation, and poor recovery. Many patients notice meaningful improvements in energy within the first several weeks of treatment.
TRT may support muscle maintenance, healthier fat distribution, and reduced abdominal fat — particularly when paired with appropriate nutrition and activity. It restores the hormonal environment that makes lifestyle efforts work properly.
Brain fog, slow recall, and reduced cognitive sharpness are common in men with low T. Hormone optimization may support clearer thinking when low testosterone is confirmed as part of the clinical picture.
Low T can contribute to irritability, reduced motivation, and low mood. Medically guided hormone therapy may support emotional balance and overall sense of well-being as levels normalize.
Cardiovascular Safety — TRAVERSE Trial: The largest randomized controlled trial on testosterone therapy confirmed TRT did not increase major cardiovascular risk in appropriately selected hypogonadal men. Based on this evidence, the FDA removed its cardiovascular black-box warning for testosterone products in February 2025. Full trial data is published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
Hormones and metabolism are closely connected. Many men with low testosterone also struggle with stubborn weight gain and declining energy. If body composition is part of your picture, our medical weight loss programs and peptide therapy protocols can be coordinated with TRT under one roof.
Most men expect a dramatic decline. What actually happens is quieter — and easy to dismiss. Fatigue you chalk up to stress. Weight that won't move. A general flatness where drive used to be. These aren't just signs of getting older. They may be signs that your testosterone levels are no longer where they need to be.
Feeling tired even after a full night's sleep, or running out of steam well before the day is over.
Training consistently but not seeing results — or losing muscle mass you worked years to build.
Excess weight that accumulates around the midsection and resists diet and exercise changes.
Reduced interest in sex or physical intimacy — often accompanied by changes in performance or confidence.
Difficulty concentrating, slow recall, or a general sense of mental dullness that wasn't there before.
Shorter fuse, low motivation, or a creeping sense of anxiety or depression without an obvious cause.
If several of these sound familiar, you're not alone. Testosterone levels decline gradually in most men after age 30. Low T is diagnosable with a blood panel and treatable. The first step is an evaluation — not a guess.
Pair TRT with weight loss savings through The Balance Rate. Hormone optimization members may qualify for savings on compounded tirzepatide through our hormone-plus-metabolic wellness program.
Your care begins with a thorough evaluation and continues with lab review, dose titration, and ongoing monitoring. We offer two primary TRT pathways depending on your clinical picture and lifestyle preferences.
Comprehensive testosterone replacement therapy for men with diagnosed low testosterone — evaluated with full lab work and monitored with regular follow-up. We review total testosterone, free testosterone, SHBG, CBC, CMP, and PSA when appropriate.
Your TRT plan can be coordinated with medical weight loss, peptide therapy, and other services at Body Balance Medical — so hormone optimization works as part of a complete health plan, not in isolation.

Biote-certified testosterone pellets for patients who are appropriate candidates for long-acting hormone delivery. Pellets are placed under the skin in a brief in-office procedure and provide consistent hormone release for approximately 3–4 months — no weekly injections, no daily gels.
Mia evaluates whether pellet therapy fits your medical history, lifestyle, and lab results before recommending it. See our hormone pellet therapy guide and Biote program page for full details.
The right delivery method depends on your testosterone levels, lifestyle, medical history, budget, and preference. Your provider will explain the options and recommend what fits your situation — not a default protocol.
Weekly or biweekly self-administered injections — intramuscular or subcutaneous depending on your protocol. The most widely used method. Provides precise dosage control and responsive adjustments, but involves some peak-and-trough fluctuation between doses.
Biote-certified pellets inserted in a brief office procedure — consistent hormone delivery for 3–4 months with no daily or weekly management. Convenient and low-maintenance, though they can't be adjusted once placed and require a minor procedure every few months.
Daily application to shoulders, upper arms, or abdomen. Non-invasive and avoids injections, but absorption can vary and patients must avoid skin-to-skin transfer to partners or children until the gel has fully dried.
Applied daily for steady absorption without injections. Consistent delivery, but patches may cause localized skin irritation and can be inconvenient during activity or heat exposure.
Starting TRT at Body Balance Medical is straightforward. We handle the evaluation, the lab work, and the ongoing monitoring — so you can focus on how you feel.
Meet with Mia, our hormone and longevity NP, to review your symptoms, health history, and goals. Available in-person or virtually. No labs required before this visit.
A comprehensive blood panel measuring total testosterone, free testosterone, SHBG, estrogen, CBC, CMP, and other markers based on your age, symptoms, and medical history.
Mia reviews your results and builds a therapy plan matched to your labs, your symptoms, and your lifestyle — not a one-size-fits-all template.
Regular follow-up labs and check-ins keep your levels dialed in. We track testosterone, hematocrit, PSA when appropriate, and symptoms — adjusting the protocol as needed.

Mia leads hormone optimization at Body Balance Medical, including testosterone replacement therapy for both men and women. She is Biote-Certified — a specialized designation for hormone pellet therapy — and approaches every protocol with a longevity-focused lens that goes beyond a single number on a lab report.
Hormone therapy is not a one-size-fits-all prescription. Mia starts with understanding where you are — your labs, your symptoms, your lifestyle — and builds from there. Ongoing monitoring is built into the process, not an afterthought.
Mia also works with women experiencing hormone imbalance, low testosterone, and perimenopause-related changes — including mood shifts and low energy frequently misattributed to depression or burnout. See our Women's TRT Guide and related blogs on perimenopause and depression and hormonal mood changes in your 40s.

The only way to confirm low testosterone is a blood test measuring total and free testosterone. Symptoms alone are misleading because they overlap with many other conditions. At Body Balance Medical, a lab panel is coordinated as part of your evaluation — so you're working with actual numbers. Many guidelines consider total testosterone below 300–350 ng/dL low, but free testosterone and SHBG matter too.
TRT is considered safe for appropriately selected men under medical supervision. The TRAVERSE trial — the largest randomized controlled trial on the subject — found no increased risk of major cardiovascular events in hypogonadal men on TRT. The FDA removed its cardiovascular black-box warning for testosterone products in February 2025 based on this evidence.
Like any medical therapy, TRT has potential side effects and is not appropriate for everyone. We review your full health history and labs before recommending any protocol, and monitoring is built into treatment — not optional.
Exogenous testosterone suppresses the hormones that stimulate sperm production, which can reduce sperm count during treatment. If you are not planning to have children, this is generally manageable and often reversible after stopping treatment.
If you are planning a family, alternatives such as clomiphene citrate and hCG can support testosterone levels while preserving fertility. Your provider will discuss this before any protocol begins.
Results vary by symptom and individual. Many patients notice improvements in energy, mood, and libido within three to six weeks. Body composition changes and strength improvements become more apparent over two to three months. Full optimization — where levels are dialed in and stable — typically takes three to six months, which is why consistent follow-up labs matter throughout.
Not necessarily. Many patients self-administer injections at home after a brief training session. Pellet therapy only requires a short in-office procedure every three to four months. Topical gels are applied daily at home. Your provider will recommend the option that fits your schedule and make sure you are fully confident with whatever approach you choose.
TRT is one component of a broader hormone optimization strategy. Depending on your symptoms and lab work, Mia may also evaluate thyroid health, estrogen balance, peptide therapy, sleep quality, and metabolic health. Learn more about the full program on our hormone optimization page.
Lab work is billed through insurance — most patients with coverage pay little or nothing for bloodwork. The TRT program itself is cash pay. Financing is available through Cherry and CareCredit. See our TRT cost guide for Las Vegas patients for a full breakdown of what affects pricing.

Perimenopause is the 4–10 years before the final menstrual period — a transition most women enter in their early-to-mid 40s, with some noticing hormonal shifts as early as the late 30s. During this window, estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone don’t simply decline. They fluctuate — sometimes wildly — before settling at lower postmenopausal levels.

If your doctor has recently suggested an antidepressant for mood changes, anxiety, brain fog, or low energy — and you’re in your 40s or early 50s — there’s something important they may not have mentioned. In women of perimenopausal age, those same symptoms are frequently driven by hormonal changes, not psychiatric ones.

You hit an inexplicable energy wall at two in the afternoon, every single day. The gym sessions that used to keep you lean and sharp have stopped working, and there is a quiet underlying friction in your relationship that you cannot easily explain. These subtle shifts compound over time — leaving many high-functioning men chalking the decline up to aging or workplace stress. Knowing the actual signs of low testosterone can help you understand exactly what is happening inside your body, and what to do about it.

There isn’t a single number. Testosterone replacement therapy costs vary significantly depending on how you receive treatment, where you receive it, and what’s actually included in your monthly fee. Nationally, costs range from roughly $40 to $1,500 per month. In Las Vegas, most reputable in-person clinics fall in the $150–$500 range for a comprehensive program.
