Body Contouring
Las Vegas
A non-invasive, five-step body contouring protocol — ultrasound cavitation, radiofrequency, lipo-pads, and wood therapy — personalized to your goals by Ashiana Khar, Licensed Advanced Esthetician. No surgery. No downtime. 60 minutes.
What Is
Body Contouring?
Body contouring is a category of non-invasive treatments designed to help sculpt, tone, and smooth specific areas of the body — without surgery, anesthesia, or any recovery time.
At Body Balance Medical, our body contouring protocol layers four complementary technologies into a single 60-minute session. Ultrasound cavitation disrupts localized fat. Radiofrequency tightens and firms the skin. Lipo-pads further stimulate fat cell release through targeted light energy. Wood therapy finishes with lymphatic drainage and manual sculpting. Each step is designed to enhance the one before it.
This service is best for people who are already close to their goal — generally within 20–30 lbs of a target weight — and are maintaining a healthy lifestyle but still have areas that resist their efforts. For many women in their late 30s and 40s, that's not a willpower issue. Collagen production slows, skin elasticity shifts, and certain fat deposits simply stop responding to diet and exercise the way they used to. Body contouring is designed for exactly that gap.

The Body Balance
Body Contouring Protocol
Five sequential steps — each designed to build on the last — so every modality amplifies the results of everything that came before it.
Before any treatment begins, Ashiana assesses your target areas, skin quality, and goals. Treatment areas, intensity settings, and session focus are customized to your body — not applied from a template. Every session starts here because every body is different.
Low-frequency ultrasound waves generate microscopic pressure changes within fat cell membranes, disrupting and emulsifying localized deposits. The released fatty acids enter the lymphatic system for natural elimination. Non-thermal, non-invasive, and comfortable for most clients — you may feel warmth and a faint vibration over the treated area.
Controlled thermal energy is delivered to the deeper dermal layers, stimulating collagen and elastin production. RF works to tighten and firm skin over treated areas — addressing the laxity that often accompanies fat reduction and improving overall skin quality, texture, and tone in the same session.
Targeted light-energy lipo-pads are applied directly to treatment areas to further stimulate fat cell metabolism and support the body's natural process of releasing stored fat. Synergistic with cavitation — lipo-pads help the body process and eliminate emulsified fat more effectively, enhancing the results of what's already been treated.
Also called maderotherapy, the session closes with specially shaped wooden instruments used to manually work the body's soft tissue. Wood therapy promotes lymphatic drainage, helps flush processed fat from the treatment area, breaks down remaining deposits, reduces puffiness, and adds the final sculpting and defining touch to each session.
Individual results vary. A series of treatments is recommended for optimal outcomes. Results are not guaranteed.
Common Treatment Areas
Body contouring at Body Balance addresses the areas most people find resistant to diet and exercise alone.
Upper and lower belly — commonly requested after post-pregnancy changes, weight fluctuations, or stubborn midsection fat that won't respond to exercise.
Flanks and love handles — targeted to improve definition and reduce the appearance of stubborn side fat deposits resistant to diet and exercise.
Inner and outer thighs — helps smooth the appearance of localized fat, reduce visible cellulite, and support a more balanced, refined contour.
Upper arms — RF stimulates collagen production to support skin tightening and a firmer appearance in areas where laxity has developed over time.
Upper back, lower back, and bra line — addresses puffiness, stubborn fat, and skin texture in areas that affect clothing fit and overall silhouette.
What Your Sessions
May Help Achieve
Results vary by individual and are enhanced with a consistent series. Most visible changes develop over 2–3 months.
More visible contour and tone in treated areas as localized fat is disrupted and eliminated over time.
RF and wood therapy work together to improve skin texture and reduce the visible appearance of cellulite and mild laxity.
Lymphatic drainage stimulated by wood therapy and cavitation may help reduce water retention and swelling — sometimes within the first few sessions.
Improved local circulation and lymphatic activity support the body's natural fat elimination and recovery processes.
Return to your normal routine immediately after every session. No bruising, no recovery, no time off required.
Is Body Contouring
Right for You?
Body contouring is best suited for people who are already close to their goal — maintaining a healthy lifestyle, exercising regularly, and within roughly 20–30 lbs of a target weight. Non-surgical body contouring typically works best when BMI is under 30. It's for people who are frustrated by specific areas that won't respond to their efforts, not for those who are primarily looking to lose weight.
It's not a weight loss treatment. It's a precision finishing tool for people who want more than lifestyle alone can deliver in targeted areas — including women navigating post-pregnancy body changes, age-related shifts in skin elasticity, or areas that changed during a weight loss journey.
Body contouring sessions at Body Balance Medical are esthetician-performed, non-invasive treatments. They are not a substitute for medical weight loss care. If you're looking for a supervised clinical approach to body composition, our medical weight loss program with compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide may be a better starting point — or a powerful complement. Many clients pursue both: GLP-1 therapy for the weight, body contouring to sculpt and define the results.

Ashiana Khar
Licensed Advanced Esthetician · Body Balance Medical
Ashiana is Body Balance Medical's licensed advanced esthetician, specializing in non-invasive body and skin treatments that prioritize precision, safety, and results you can actually see. Her approach to body contouring starts with an honest evaluation — building a session around your specific goals and anatomy, not a default protocol.
Every body contouring session with Ashiana includes the complete five-step protocol: evaluation, ultrasound cavitation, radiofrequency, lipo-pads, and wood therapy. She adjusts intensity settings, pressure, and treatment focus based on what each client's body needs in that session — and those adjustments evolve across a series as your results progress.

Most clients see their best results from a series of 6 to 10 sessions, spaced 5 to 7 days apart. A single session will produce some improvement, but body contouring works progressively — the body continues to eliminate disrupted fat cells and build new collagen between sessions. Ashiana evaluates your progress at each visit and adjusts the protocol as your results develop. Most clients notice the most visible changes between sessions 4 and 8.
Some clients notice reduced puffiness or a smoother appearance within a few weeks of starting a series. More visible body contouring results — improved definition, skin tightening, reduced localized fat — typically develop over 2 to 3 months, because the body naturally processes treated fat cells and builds new collagen over time. Results continue improving even between sessions, which is why consistent spacing matters.
You're likely a good candidate if you're generally healthy, within roughly 20–30 lbs of your goal weight (BMI under 30 typically works best), and have specific areas with stubborn fat, mild skin laxity, or reduced definition that hasn't responded to diet and exercise. Body contouring is not appropriate as a primary weight loss method — it's a targeted refinement tool for people who are already close to their goal and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Most clients describe cavitation as a warm, buzzing sensation over the treatment area — not painful. You may also hear a faint ringing sound during the treatment, which is completely normal and caused by the low-frequency ultrasound waves. You may feel mild warmth, slight pressure, or tingling depending on the area being treated. The sensation is mild and generally well-tolerated throughout the session.
Wood therapy, also called maderotherapy, uses specially shaped wooden instruments to manually work the body's soft tissue. Ashiana uses it as the closing step because the cavitation and lipo-pads have already disrupted and emulsified fat — wood therapy helps flush that processed fat through the lymphatic system while sculpting and defining the treated areas. It's firm and therapeutic, and it's what gives the session its finishing contour work.
Yes — for mild skin laxity, body contouring can be helpful. The radiofrequency step stimulates collagen and elastin production, which supports firming and tightening over time. Many clients who have gone through a medical weight loss program use a body contouring series to refine and tighten the areas where skin hasn't fully bounced back. Significant excess skin may require a separate medical evaluation, but mild to moderate laxity is one of the better use cases for this protocol.
None. Every step in our protocol is non-invasive, and you can go straight back to your day after the session. Some clients notice mild warmth or temporary redness over treated areas for an hour or two — this is normal and resolves quickly. Drinking plenty of water after your session is the single most effective thing you can do to support the lymphatic system's clearance of treated fat cells.
Weight loss reduces overall body weight through caloric deficit, metabolic change, or medical intervention. Body contouring focuses on targeted refinement — improving contour, supporting skin tightening, and helping reduce stubborn fat in specific areas. They work differently, and they work best when paired: a medical weight loss program like our GLP-1 program handles overall body composition, while body contouring sculpts and defines the results.
Common treatment areas include the abdomen, waist and flanks, thighs (inner and outer), upper arms, and back. In a 60-minute session, Ashiana typically focuses on one to two areas for deeper, more thorough treatment. During your evaluation, she'll help you prioritize — some clients concentrate an entire series on one area; others rotate through multiple areas as their results progress.
